WEBTAURANT? A SERVICE SYSTEM IN THE NETHERLANDS

Any idea of what a "webtaurant" is? Quite simple: it's the place where you match who always dream to have a restaurant and people who just don't feel like cooking.

"TweetjeMee" is an interesting neighborhood-based initiative for cookers and eaters, which asks the former to prepare some more meals than usual and the latter just to search by postcode for a neighborhood chef.

How does the system work? Eaters search the nearest chef, choose a meal and pay online. Then they receive a mail with the address and time for pickup.Eaters will then pass to pick up their meal to the chefs houses.

TweetjeMee - which is a citizen corporate - will give 70% of the incomes to the chefs, while part of the cost will go to "the Hunger Project". "You cook, we eat, everybody eats it" - they say.

By the way, this service system is not only a webtaurant, but also a place where to get even something simple than a meal: if you surf in their website you soon realized it's often use to sell cakes or single courses...
